Tension Band -
Brace Bands

Shall be 1/8 x 1" pressed steel fastened with 3/8 x 1 1/2" carriage bolt.

Tension Bars

shall be 1/4" thick by 3/4" wide for 1 1/2" - 2" mesh wire.  1/8" thick x 1/2" wide for smaller mesh sizes.

Post Caps

shall be malleable iron dome shaped for 1 5/8" - 2" size and acorn shaped for 2 1/2", 3", 3 1/2" - 4", 6 5/8".

Loop Caps

shall be malleable iron rounded on top.

Extension Arms

shall be provided to all posts when barbed wire and razor ribbon is requested.  Arms shall withstand a weight of 200 lbs., available in three strands and six strands.

Barbed Wire

(when specified) - shall be of 9 GA strand with 4 point aluminum barbs spaced 3" apart.

Sleeves

for top rail shall be malleable iron by 7".

Truss Braces

shall be 1 5/8" OD SK 40 pipe for heights up to 9'  with 1/2" truss rod, malleable turnbuckle and brace rail ends.

End Clamps,
Boulevards &
Corner Boulevards

used to attach top-middle-bottom rail to posts shall be 3/16" thick made of pressed steel and fastened with a 3/8 x 3 bolt.

Tension Wire

(For fences without top rail or in lieu of the bottom rail) shall be crimped 6 gauge (.192") thermally extruded wire, and shall be fastened to the fabric at intervals of 24" with vinyl coated hog rings.

Ties

must be provided and fastened at intervals of 24" for rails and all line posts double wrapped and made of 13 gauge (.091") 7 mil bonded wire.

Razor Ribbon

18" - 24" - 30" with a spacing no greater than 12" shall be vinyl coated to match the color of fabric and frame work

Gates

all gates shall have an internal locking device, they shall be made of 1 1/2" ID pipe (2.72 lb./ft) welded prior to a fluid bed vinyl submersion.  Gate corners welded after vinyl coating not permitted.

Hinges

shall be offset type malleable iron.
3x2 hinge shall weigh 21 lbs.
4x2 hinge shall weigh 23 lbs.
6x2 hinge shall weigh 28 lbs.
8x2 hinge shall weigh 34 lbs.

Locking Device

all gate leaves shall have an internal locking device.

A Center Gate

stop shall be installed for each leaf at a depth of one foot in ground.
